Synopsis: A television crew are searching for phantoms and poltergeists in a long abandoned mansion. Unbeknown to the television crew, in the same mansion, at the very same time. a pair of unsuspecting treasure seekers, are searching for hidden valuable hoards. Is it all just a spooky coincidence? Will anyone find what they seek in the shadows? Does anyone really have a ghost of a chance of success? Will they remain in good spirits? Or will the writer run out of puns… if so, who’s he gonna call?.. no not them! The Hunters of Ghost Hall.
Female (35-55) – Recently single after a long time. Slightly nervous at first but grows in confidence, but not afraid to challenge and speak her mind when she knows someone. More sensible than adventurous. Has a good sense of humour.
Male (25-35) – Works in television, frustrated at lack of a big break but tries to remain calm and professional as much as possible. Doesn’t feel like he’s being taken seriously enough. Has a dry sense of humour.
Please note the other roles have already been cast.
Who do I want?:
I only want fully committed, totally professional and smart actors who must be able to be positive in their approach, and help create memorable characters. You must have excellent comic timing but also be able to show a sensitive side to a character, the more natural and honest the acting the better. I shall be workshopping scenes with everyone for the first month of rehearsals, so you will need to be creative and supportive of others, basically be able to work well as part of an ensemble. Must be willing to help promote the play. And definitely bring energy and enthusiasm!
Audition pieces:
Initially can you prepare a ghost story of your own choosing, no more than 10 minutes long. Also, if you have a short amusing audition piece, of any sort, just try and make me laugh. I will be providing script extracts near the time which can be cold read.
If you wish to book an audition slot, please provide your acting CV, Spotlight links, showreel links etc  via the Contact Page – click here
